| Instant messaging and video calls are things that many of us enjoy in our everyday lives. It’s become more accessible thanks to the various apps and programs that allow us to do these things. However, before all these instant messaging apps and platforms, there were only a handful of ways we could do this. Skype happens to be one of the first few ways that people could instant message and make video calls to those as far as half a world away–so much so that it’s become its own verb. With that in mind, we’ll teach you how to use one of the earliest instant messaging programs out there: Skype. | |

| Nowadays, you have various instant messaging and video calling apps at your disposal if you want to contact someone. However, before all these apps were available, there were only a few ways you could reach someone online via an instant message. Skype was one of the first ways that one could reach out to someone online. To this day, Skype is still an app that several people use for instant messaging and what have you. Aside from the fact that it’s stood the test of time, people also use it because messaging through this program is simple. You simply need to open the app, open a new chat and select a contact, and you’ll be able to send them a message right away! Skype is a relatively straightforward program to use. As long as you know how to go about messaging someone, it should be easy for you to do it yourself. However, some people may still struggle with something like using the instant messaging function.
