1Put your laptop somewhere near your router. You can place it as close as you can to get the most of the connection the device can allot. Then locate the network icon on the lower right of your desktop toolbar and click on it.

2A list of available Wi-Fi networks will appear after you click the network icon. Click on one of them to connect. There is also an option for you to connect to that network automatically the next time you log in. You can check the checkbox to do so.
3Input the password for the network you wish to connect to. Click on enter after doing so. Head back and click the network icon on your desktop to see if you have successfully connected to the wireless network. Open your web browser, or your phone should the connection require additional verification.
