1On your browser, type in www.yahoo.com. In the upper right corner, click Sign in. Log in with your username and password.
2Yahoo will require you to verify you are a human using a quick image selection test. Follow the instructions carefully. Once you are logged in, you will be redirected to the home page again.
3In the upper right corner, click on the Mail icon and select “Go To Mail” on the drop-down menu.
4On the upper right-hand corner of your inbox, click on the Settings icon. Scroll down to the bottom and click on More Settings.
5You may change or customize email settings accordingly. The first is the theme of your mailbox. Click on Personalize Inbox, then proceed with selecting the color or image theme you prefer. A preview of the inbox’s interface will appear on the right.
6Personalizing your inbox also allows you to choose your Message Layout. Select the type of layout you prefer, whether it’s a list, right, or bottom. A preview of the inbox’s layout will appear on the right.
7When you scroll down, you will also be able to alter your inbox spacing and text size depending on your visual preference. You may also enable message tabs, message preview, and breaking news by clicking on the toggle icon.
8On the menu bar on the left, click on Mailboxes. Here, you may add and customize other inboxes from your other email providers like Google, AOL, and Microsoft. Click Add mailbox, and select your chosen email provider.
9You will then be directed to another window where you will be asked to sign into your other email account and allow Yahoo to collect and merge data from the said email account.
You may also include an alternative email address by clicking Add below. Type in your alternate email address, then click Next. An email will be sent to your inbox for verification. Once verified, the alternative email will appear on the list.
10Managing your notifications is much easier. Simply click Notifications. If you wish to get email notifications directly on your desktop, tap on the toggle icon to enable it.
11When concluding an email, you have the option to add your signature. Click on Writing Email; you can enable automatic signatures and preview links by clicking on the toggle icons.

12
You also have the option to customize the Default rich-text font and Sending address accordingly. A preview of your signature and sign-off will be shown on the right.
13
On the bottom, click Connect if you prefer to merge your Yahoo storage with other cloud accounts. This will lead to another window where you would need to sign in and allow data to be shared with Yahoo.
14
Tap the toggle button to change view settings according to group conversations. Dynamic message can also be enabled by clicking on the toggle button. This allows you to view email content in an organized manner.
15
You may also opt to let your receiver know if you’ve read their email or not by selecting the frequency: immediately, after 2 seconds, after 5 seconds, or never.
16
When moving a message, you may adjust the activity by selecting to go back to the original folder, show the previous message, or show the next message.
17
If your email has images attached, you may select to either show images in messages always, except in spam or to ask before showing external images for privacy and discretion.
18To organize your mailbox when you’re on leave, you can send an automatic vacation response to those trying to reach you.
Simply click on the toggle icon to enable the feature. You will then be able to type in your automatic vacation response and let people know that you will send back replies accordingly after some time away.
19
Filters can be customized by priority. This is typically used to find emails and exchanges easily. Select “+Add new filters,” and you will be asked to type in a filter name on the right.
20
At the bottom you will also be able to choose a folder to move to another location which you may select from the drop-down menu. Click Done when you’re finished.
21

Set rules will allow you to edit the way you receive and send emails by creating filters that will include or exclude certain words or email addresses not pertaining to your mailbox’s main use.
22
Blocking unknown emails or phishing emails can be done by clicking on Security and privacy in the bottom left of the menu bar. Click Add, then type the email address you want to block and click Save.

Select Contacts on the bottom left of the menu bar to import contacts from other mailboxes. Select the mailbox you wish to import contact from, and click Import.
