Connecting with people using Twitter is a common thing in this digital age. The messaging service of Twitter is convenient for Android users. When using your android tablet, you can send personal messages to your Twitter contacts. Here is a quick guide on how to send a Direct Message on Twitter using your tablet.

1Open your Twitter app.
2Tap on the envelope icon. It will direct you to your messages.
3To create a new message, tap on the icon that appears as an envelope with a plus sign.
4Add the name(s) or @username(s) of the people you want to send a message to in the search box. A group message is also possible but limited to 50 contacts.
5Enter your message in the textbox. Aside from text, you can include a photo, video, or GIF via Direct Message. 
To send a media file, tap on the photo icon. It will allow you to take a photo, and record a video. Or upload from the media gallery.
To add in an animated GIF, tap on the GIF icon. You can search for and select a GIF from the media library.
6Tap on the arrowhead icon to send the message.

Direct messaging on Twitter using your Android Tablet is possible. Just follow these steps: tap on the envelope icon, then tap on the create message icon, type in the recipient name or username, and then create the message to which you can add a GIF and/or image files, and tap on the Send icon.
